Gameplay

Enter the $COQ Ring

Dik Dik Defense is a gamified staking protocol that is comprised of two player types: Defenders and Attackers.

Defenders

Dik Dik NFTs act as defenders in the $COQ Ring.

To set a defense, holders of Dik Dik NFTs can stake 10 million $COQ and select a counter-attack (BANG, SMASH, THRUST).

Once a defense is set, there is a 1 hour cooldown period in which no actions can be taken.

After the cooldown, Dik Diks can update their counter-attack, or be removed from the defender pool to claim any accrued spoils from battles. Both of these actions reset the 1 hr cooldown.

Attackers

Pepe Portraits NFTs act as attackers in the $COQ Ring.

There must be at least 15 defenders staked before attacks can take place.

To mount an attack, holders of Pepe Portraits NFTs can stake 5 million $COQ and select an attack (BANG, SMASH, THRUST). There is a 15 minute cooldown after each attack.

10% of the stake will be used as a protocol fee to pay for Chainlink VRF fees.

Once an attack is made, Chainlink VRF will randomly select a defender to counter-attack.

If the attack is successful, the attacker will receive their stake back (minus VRF fee) as well as all of the defender's stake.

If the attack is unsuccessful, 80% of the attacker's stake is split amongst all defenders, and 20% of the attacker's stake is added to the defender's stake.

Outcomes

Each battle is decided similar to the game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. In case of a tie, the attacker loses.
